Dolorean

Ok, these guys are PURE genius. Take a listen to Beachcomber Blues and you will see what I mean. If you press play, you will see (or hear) one of the absolute best displays of melancholy and stunningly beautiful folk pop songs I have ever heard.

Yep Roc Records just released their new album titled You Can't Win on 2.2.07

Click here or on the image (above) to buy from Amazon.

They also have 2 other albums titled Violence in the Snowy Fields and Not Exotic

Do you a...Leo?

I have to say that I am a Leo addict. I have been for quite some time now. If you are not or don't know what I am talking about. Venture over to twit.tv and subscribe to his podcasts. They are extremely informative and highly addicting if you are a geek.

The KFI Radio Show Is now Syndicated. Great news for Leo (I think!) as these means ever MORE exposure for the Tech Guy.

SXSW

I wish I could go to this one as well....donations anyone?

SXSWeek › March 9-18

Coachella

Oh yeah did I mention that I am going to Coachella this year? Yup, its my rookie season for the festival of all music festivals (besides SXSW of course). We have tickets already and we are camping so it will surely be a great time. Check the artists...

tune in....

Norah Jones

Remember her? I do. In case you don't, she just put out a reminder called "Not Too Late". It consists of 13 original songs, all of them written or co-written by Norah herself. It was a Valentines Day present from my mother of all people. I have to say though, she is amazing (I mean Norah, although my mother is also amazing) and sounds SO vocally mature in her songs. She will be on a 4 week tour in April. So for now, take a listen and enjoy.

Coastal

I was just taking a listen to a band that I fell in love with quite a while ago.... Coastal. They have a very lowfi, shoegazer sound that would even relax a monkey on Red Bull..... find them and listen...

Josh Callaway - bass
Jason Gough - guitar, vocals
Luisa Gough - organ, vocals
Jim Harker - drums

Coastal formed in 1999 as a hybrid of several musicians who had played for years in different bands in the Provo, Utah area. Singer and guitarist Jason Gough had been involved in shoegaze style bands for several years (Lumiere, The Mantarays, Azure) and it was through such bands that he met up with bassist Josh Callaway (Just Lucy). A middle ground was sought between Jason's shoegaze and Josh's slocore leanings as the duo started to write songs together.
